KMFDM 2013 promo poster

KMFDM TOUR POSTER (War Bus)

As part of their promotional campaign for their upcoming tour, industrial group KMFDM commissioned me to come up with something appropriate.

Inspired by WW1 armoured mini tanks and modern anti-riot vehicles, I set about creating a hybrid more suited to the band’s image than the traditional tour bus. After creating a collage of elements in Photoshop, I then warped and re-shaped the chassis before re-drawing the finished product in ink. Final artwork layers composed in Illustrator.

For KMFDM‘s 2011 US tour, I was commissioned to create my own interpretation of Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’, using band front man and industrial legend, Sascha Konietsko, as inspiration for the main figure.

The illustration was subsequently used on a range of merchandise currently accompanying the band across the U.S. of A.

Media: Sharpie, Japanese calligraphic brush pen, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.

More BRUTE! Helmet roughs

More rough helmet designs for Bimmerworld racing team.

I first built a basic helmet shape in 3D (Poser 4) and then textured them with the artwork, taking snaps of the front, back, sides and top plus a three-quarter profile. Finally, in Photoshop, I cut and pasted them over the helmet line-art and photos supplied by the company.

Keep posted to see the final design evolve.

Big MIKE

Another buddy pic, this time of Mike Cusato, a superb guitarist and a credit to his native Wales.

I met him and his buddy Marcus when I was living on Merseyside, UK.

One autumn, we went to a small cottage in Anglesey, North Wales, and recorded low-flying jets from the local air base all weekend.

Great days, great guys…

I scanned the doodle into Pshop, coloured it; ran the black and colour layers through Cutout and then dropped in a Creation background.
